************************* DIABLO DESKTOP THEME ************************* -FREEWARE from the Dark Winds Team- creator: Nae'blis release version: 1.0 last updated: 14-03-99 operating system: Windows 95 e-mail: darkwinds@email.com homepage: none...yet price: an e-mail would be nice ========================================================================= *INTRODUCTION ------------- Hi, thankyou for using my theme. I hope you will find it worth while. This is my first theme created especially for export. There are many good graphics in this theme, some created by myself, some extracted from other good Diablo themes. I do not take credit for components not done by myself. A list of components and the creators are found at the end of this file. Enjoy the theme, and I welcome any response - for or against. *INITIATION (before you install) ----------- (1) Fisrt of all, you will have to extract the zip file into the desired location on your hard drive. An example would be simply C:\ The extraction will then automatically create folders on to your C-drive. Use a program such as WinZip or PKZip to extract the files. (2) When this is done, there will be a directory called "Nb Files" with a sub-folder "NbDiablo". This is the folder which will contain all the individual components required for the theme. One of the files within this folder will be called "NbDiablo.theme". It would be best to copy this file to the Windows default Themes directory. You can do this by dragging the file across and dropping it into the Themes directory. (The Themes directory is at C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes) This SHOULD result in a file being created in your default Themes folder called "NbDiablo1.0.theme" (3) Install the font files if you do not already have them. The font files are called Exocet_h.ttf and Exocet_l.ttf. To install the fonts, go to the Control Panel/Fonts. Click [File] [Install New Font]. Browse to the directory where the theme files were extracted to (ie C:\Nb Files\NbDiablo\Misc). The font files are in the \misc folder. Then just select the two Exocet fonts and [Ok] (4) Now you need to install the theme... *INSTALLATION ------------- There are three possible methods to install the Nae'blis Diablo Theme or it's components onto your computer. Read all three and decide which would suit you better. # Method 1 - Typical Go to [Start] /Settings/Control Panel/Desktop Themes. Above the preview window is a drop-down menu called "Theme:". Search the list until you find the name "NbDiablo". Select it. If you could not find the file, it is possible that you did not create a copy in your Themes directory. Not to worry :) The last item on the list should be "Other...", select it. Then browse to the folder" ..\Nb Files\NbDiablo". The theme file should be there. Select it and hit [OK]. To install the theme, hit the [Apply] at the bottom of the Desktop Themes box. # Method 2 - Typical Go to the directory where you extracted the zip file to. (ie C:\Nb Files\NbDiablo). Find the file "NbDiablo.theme" and double-click. To apply install the theme, hit [Apply]. # Method 3 - Custom Installation This method shows how to install certain components used in the NbDiablo theme without installing the whole lot.
