1.0     Introduction

The mach64 device drivers supplied here are for Windows 3.1 and 
Windows 3.11. 

THIS SELF-EXTRACTING FILE CONTAINS DISPLAY DRIVER FILES ONLY.

2.0     Installation Notes

IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED A mach64 WINDOWS DRIVER PREVIOUSLY, YOU MAY 
REQUIRE YOUR MICROSOFT WINDOWS DISKETTES TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION 
OF THIS DRIVER.  

1. Exit Windows completely, and perform the following operations in DOS.
   Do NOT attempt to perform the driver installation from within 
   Windows.  

2. Run 64W31303.EXE from the directory it was downloaded into.  For this 
   example we will say 64W31303.EXE is located in C:\ATI303.
   eg.  CD ATI303        ;press enter
        64W31303.EXE     ;press enter

3. Follow the screen prompts for installing the Windows 3.1 driver.  

4. LOAD64.EXE will be run after the installation files have been 
   uncompressed.  This program is used to install the drivers into 
   Windows 3.1X.  

   IF YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, INDICATING THAT A CERTAIN FONT 
   (.fon) FILE IS NOT PRESENT, YOU WILL NEED TO RUN WINDOWS SETUP FROM
   DOS TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION.  WINDOWS SETUP WILL PROMPT YOU FOR
   THE DISKS ON WHICH THESE FONT FILES ARE FOUND.

   NOTE:  Windows 3.1X will default to a resolution of 640 X 480 with
          256 colors each time the mach64 driver is installed.

5. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of 
   the temporary directory using the "Remove ATI Temporary Files" icon.  

6. We recommend that you keep a copy of 64W31303.EXE in case you need
   to install the driver again.
