2. Installation Guide

 
First, install the chipset driver for your motherboard. Second, install the on-board device driver if one is available. Below is the installation guide for our motherboards, be sure to proceed step by step. 
For Intel chipset, you could install PIIX4 and Bus Master driver only for Windows 95, and you do nothing while for Windows NT.
For VIA chipset, you could install all the driver with its installation program, and it will determine which to be installed or not. 

(1) Brilliant-1, Excellent-1, Excellent-2 Installation

 
 a. Installing Intel bus master driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\BMIDE\Setup.exe
 b. Installing Intel PIIX4 Driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\PIIX4\Setup.exe
 

(2) Brilliant-3 Installation

 
 a. Installing Intel bus master driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\BMIDE\Setup.exe
 b. Installing Intel PIIX4 Driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\PIIX4\Setup.exe
 c. Updating your Windows 95 to OSR2.1; or your Windows NT 4.0 to Service Package 3. (You can download them through Microsoft web site.)
 d. Installing Intel740 VGA driver:
Running \DevDrv\VGA\I740\Auto.exe
 e. Installing Crystal 4235 Sound driver:
Locate the appropriate driver for your OS in \DevDrv\Sound\Cry4235
Note: NT4_CDROM_DRIVE:\Drvlib\pnpisa\x86\PNPISA.INF must be installed first! If not, the on-board sound card driver will be unable to function accordingly under Windows NT 4.0 because of the DMA channel conflicting.
 f. Installing Crystal 4235 sound wavetable:
Locate in \DevDrv\Sound\Cry4235\Wavesynt

(3) Brilliant-4 Installation

 
 a. Installing Intel bus master driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\BMIDE\Setup.exe
 b. Installing Intel PIIX4 Driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\PIIX4\Setup.exe
 c. Installing Intel 82558 LAN driver:
Locate the appropriate driver for your OS in \DevDrv\LAN\82558
Note: All the files in \DevDrv\LAN\82558 should be copied to a floppy disk before you install the 82558 driver on Windows NT.
 d. Installing Adptec AHA7880 driver:
For Windows 9X, refer to CD ROOT \DevDrv\SCSI\7880\Disk3\win95\readme.txt
For Windows NT, refer to CD ROOT \DevDrv\SCSI\7880\Disk3\winnt\readme.txt
Note: \DevDrv\SCSI\7880\Disk2\Unix7880.img is the driver for unix, and you should write the raw disk image file back to a floppy disk by HD-Copy, which is a shareware can be downloaded from Internet.

(4) Brilliant-5 Installation

 
 a. Installing Intel bus master driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\BMIDE\Setup.exe
 b. Installing Intel PIIX4 Driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\PIIX4\Setup.exe
 c. Installing Ct2511 driver:
Running the Setup.exe from the corresponding subdirectory under \DevDrv\Sound\CT2511\ according to your OS type.
Note: NT4_CDROM_DRIVE:\Drvlib\pnpisa\x86\PNPISA.INF must be installed first! If not, the on-board sound card driver will be unable to function accordingly under Windows NT 4.0 because of the DMA channel conflicting.
 d. Installing CT2511 wavetable
Running \DevDrv\Sound\CT2511\Wavesynt\Setup.exe; In addition, the application can be installed by running \DevDrv\Sound\CT2511\Inspire\Setup.exe.

(5) Brilliant-6 Installation

 
 a. Installing Intel bus master driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\BMIDE\Setup.exe
 b. Installing Intel PIIX4 Driver:
Running \ChipDrv\Intel\PIIX4\Setup.exe
 c. Updating your Windows 95 to OSR2.1; or your Windows NT 4.0 to Service Package 3. ( You can download them through Microsoft web site )
 d. Installing ATI Rage2C VGA driver:
Running \DevDrv\VGA\Rage2C\Auto.exe
Note: If there is Rage Pro chip in your motherboard, locate the appropriate driver under \Devdrv\VGA\RagePro.
 e. Installing Ct2511 sound driver:
Running the Setup.exe from the corresponding subdirectory under \DevDrv\Sound\CT2511\ according to your OS. 
Note: NT4_CDROM_DRIVE:\Drvlib\pnpisa\x86\PNPISA.INF must be installed first! If not, the on-board sound card driver will be unable to function accordingly under Windows NT 4.0 because of DMA channel conflicting.
 f. Installing CT2511 Sound wavetable
Running \DevDrv\Sound\CT2511\Wavesynt\Setup.exe; In addition, you can install the application by running \DevDrv\Sound\CT2511\Inspire\Setup.exe.

(6) MVP3 Installation

 
 a. Installing VIA chipset driver:
Running \ChipDrv\VIA\MVP3\Autorun.exe
Note: While on Windows 98, the IRQ Routing Program must be installed from the \ChipDrv\VIA\MVP3\Drivers\Win98IRQ while running the setup.exe program in this directory.
