Creative Announces Launch of Internet Blaster and Modem Blaster Voice

- Extends product range with new communication solutions for home and small business users -

Ruscombe, 27th June, 1996 - Creative Labs, the leading provider of multimedia products for the PC, has enhanced its range of communications products with the launch of Internet Blaster and Modem Blaster Voice.

For the home or office, Internet Blaster offers the complete Internet experience including easy access, sophisticated browsing facilities, the ability to create your own Web Page, and even make long distance phone calls at local rates. Modem Blaster Voice transforms your PC into a complete communications management centre with a suite of powerful software for telephone management, fax transmission and voicemail capability.

Creative's business communication range also includes Phone Blaster which provides all the benefits of Modem Blaster Voice, plus Sound Blaster 16 bit audio facilities such as 20 voice stereo synthesised sound and 8 and 16 bit recording and playback. ShareVision, the premium Desktop videoconferencing solution for analogue line, completes the communication product range.

Internet Blaster
Internet Blaster represents an easy and affordable way to master the World Wide Web. Comprising a hassle-free, high-speed 28.8/V34 data/fax modem, it is aimed at PC users looking for an easy, low cost solution to Internet facilities. Internet Blaster is available from the end of June at an estimated street price of £149 inc VAT.

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer, providing the best browsing performance for Win 95.
  • WebPhone from NetSpeak, the professional, full featured Internet telephone with integrated voice-mail, enables long distance voice calls at local rates.
  • HoTMetaL Light, enables the user to easily create and publish hypertext linked, multi-media Web pages.

    Modem Blaster Voice
    Modem Blaster Voice is aimed at SOHO/home users who currently do not have access to corporate communication facilities such as LANs or PABX features. It enables users to use their PC as a sophisticated telephone which answers or makes calls, a sophisticated Voicemail which the user can interrogate and control at a distance, and also enables the PC to be used as a fax machine. Modem Blaster Voice is available from the end of June at an estimated street price of £199 inc VAT.

  • Pacific Image Super Voice, providing complete telephony, fax and data communications facilities, including voice-mail, speaker phone and fax forwarding.
  • Data communication facilities combined with a Mini Bulletin Board system.
  • Microsoft Phone, which integrates the hardware into a Win 95 operating environment and also provides facilities such as voice recognition and text to speech.
  • CompuServe software including Internet browser and free subscription.
