Q28. How do I know if a title is supported by 3D Blaster PCI?

3D Blaster PCI supports and accelerate any software that make use of any of the following APIs: Direct3D, DirectDraw, CGL, Speedy3D. Basically this refers to Win95 titles which utilize DirectX, any 'Rendition-ready' titles and any titles that bear the 'Powered by 3D Blaster PCI' logo.

Q29. Will my current games, like F22 or MechWarrior Mercenaries, run faster on 3D Blaster PCI?

Not only does 3D Blaster PCI support VESA 2.0, it is an outstanding SVGA accelerator too. See your SVGA games fly like never before.

Q30. I've heard that the DOS performance of 3D Blaster PCI isn't too great. Does that mean I won't be able to play my DOS based games?

While the VGA core of the 3D Blaster PCI is slow, the SVGA performance is outstanding. Today's games all support SVGA modes, which means that gamers will be able to enjoy great performance with the 3D Blaster PCI.

Q31. Can CGL games work with other 3D cards such as the Reactor?

CGL (Creative Graphics Library) is Creative's proprietary 3D API under DOS which enables games and applications to take advantage of 3D hardware features and acceleration. We have ported CGL to the 3D Blaster, and will also extend that support to other 3D cards we produce. CGL games and applications will not run on non-Creative graphics cards.

Q32. I am a programmer, would I be better off using Microsoft's DirectX SDK or Creative's CGL API to write a 3D game?

CGL (Creative Graphics Library) is Creative's proprietary 3D API under DOS which enables games and applications to take advantage of 3D hardware features and acceleration. We have ported CGL to the 3D Blaster, and will also extend that support to other 3D cards we produce. CGL games and applications will not run on non-Creative graphics cards.
