Cause

Statement 'DEVICE=VDMAD.386" is not correct.

Solution

The above statement can be found under the [386Enh] section of the SYSTEM.INI file. Change the statement from: device=vdmad.386 to: device=*vdmad. Save the SYSTEM.INI file, and restart Windows.
