At an attractive price point, Sound Blaster Value CD 4x is a value-packed kit that brings consumers everything they need for multimedia computing. It combines industry standard Sound Blaster wave-table upgradeable audio, quad-speed CD-ROM technology and a collection of some of the most well-known software titles for entertainment and reference on the market. Sound Blaster Value CD 4x will be available at retail outlets this month for a projected price of $299.99.

Sound Blaster Value CD 4x includes Creative's quad-speed IDE CD-ROM drive, a wave-table upgradeable Sound Blaster 16 audio card, stereo speakers, Creative's six audio utilities and eleven software titles from top multimedia publishers. Creative's quad-speed drive provides a 600 KB per second transfer rate, a better than 250 ms access rate and compatibility with the Kodak Photo CD. Sound Blaster 16 offers CD quality stereo sampling and playback and includes wave-table synthesis upgradeability for real instrument sounds.
Sound Blaster Value CD 4x's software bundle includes the following eleven titles for entertainment and reference in addition to Creative's six audio utilities.
In addition to Sound Blaster Value CD 4x, Creative's quad-speed line now includes Sound Blaster Performance 4x, Sound Blaster Multimedia Home 4x, Sound Blaster Discovery CD 4x, Sound Blaster Digital Schoolhouse 4x and Blaster CD 4x. From Performance 4x -- Creative's first high-end wave-table synthesis kit -- to its entry level Blaster CD 4x CD-ROM kit, Creative continues to offer a broad range of solutions that address the varying needs of consumers.
