English-to-Chinese Translation (for Deluxe version only)
In the HansBridge system there are a lexicon of some 40,000 current expressions and 6,000 sentence structure-rules. It incorporates a very powerful automatic phrase-analysis capability.

DETAILED SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION

HansInput
Chinese character input is made easy with this software. It has several different input modes catering to different user preferences including inputting Chinese characters using English. It also has a very flexible automatic phrase-analysis capability. Incorporating a lexicon of some 70,000 current expressions, entering text by expressions increases efficiency tremendously. HansInput allows the user to train the system with abbreviated keys for inputting phrases. Users can use HansInput to input Chinese characters into popular Windows applications such as Word For Windows, Excel, etc.

HansWord
This is a powerful Chinese word processing with Desk-Top-Publishing capabilities. It has a very user-friendly interface similar to current word processing applications. There are altogether 12 selectable Chinese font types available to the user. Other than normal word processing, an end-user can also insert graphics in-between text. In addition, this software supports WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) allowing the user to layout a document before printing. Functions that are provided in this package allow users to create publications which only desktop publishing software package can produce.

HansMaker
HansVision comes with many different built-in font types for the user to choose from. In addition, users can also create their own font types using HansMaker. HansMaker is a new font generation tool for creating or editing existing outline-fonts. For uncommon Chinese characters not found in the HansVision library, a user can easily create the character using HansMaker.

HansLibrary
The HansLibrary can store up to 5000 phrases (up to 12 character per phrase) in the UserLibrary. Phrases entered by the user are automatically stored in the HansLibrary. Phrases which are already in the HansLibrary can be input much faster using short-cut keys. Besides the UserLibrary, a user can further define other customized library which can store up to 3000 phrases (up to 30 characters per phrase). Only the UserLibrary and one other customized library can be used at a time, which sums up to a total of 8000 phrases. Through HansLibrary, a user can maintain the phrase library by deleting unwanted phrases or switching to a customized library before inputting.

HansReader
This is an OCR software capable of reading Chinese characters. Instead of typing every character from an article extracted from a hardcopy document, you can scan in this image and use HansReader to convert the scanned image to an editable text file. This software has a high level of accuracy and a high speed input mode is available. The user has the option of selecting a portion of the text to be converted into text instead of the entire scanned image. HansReader can recognise Chinese, English, simple and traditional Chinese, and multi-fonts at the same time.

HansBridge
You can effectively convert an entire English document to Chinese with the help of this software. Accuracy of the translation can be improved by selecting the field or genre that the document concerned belongs to. Fields such as computers, economics and communications, etc. are some of the available choices. Users can also create their own phrase into the library for translation (New feature).

HansLetter
Included in this software application are about 300 samples of Chinese/English business letters for different purposes. Users only need to modify the subjects, objects or dates in these pre-written letters in order to generate a new letter that is your own. Besides that, changes made to business letter in one language will also cause the corresponding changes to take place in the other language.

HansBanner
HansBanner is a banner making application. It allows the user to print banners in both Chinese and English characters onto tractor feed or form feed printers. This application supports all the font types supported in HansVision and color print-outs.

HansDictionary
It is an electronic Chinese-to-English two way dictionary. A user can look-up an English word or phrase in this electronic dictionary and obtain a Chinese description. A user can simply copy a word or phrase and paste it into HansDictionary for translation.
