No Sound From Your Sound Card

No output from both the 8-bit and 16-bit digitized sounds when running the test program.

Your problem could be due to one of the following reasons:

Volume knob on your speakers is not set properly. To correct this, check that the volume knob or any other volume control found on the speaker is not set to zero.
Your speakers are connected to the wrong jack. Make sure the speakers are connected to the Speaker Out jack on your audio card.
You have not provided sufficient volume for the appropriate mixer channel or have muted the channel. Go the Creative Mixer and pull-up the slider for the channel you are using. Check that channel is not muted, the green dot above the mixer channel you are using is enabled
