Using CTCMAPI1.EXE To Install Creative Audio Tools Installation CD

Creative CTCM is developed to solve Plug-and-Play problems associated with ICM. Although it does solve most of the Plug-and-Play problems, earlier versions of the Creative Audio Tools Installation CD with ICM will not be able to install under CTCM. The installation CD will prompt that ICU is required in such cases.

A new piece of software, CTCMAPI1.EXE, has been developed to resolve the above installation problem. You can download the CTCMAPI1.EXE archive here.

To install it : type CTCMAPI

To uninstall it : type CTCMAPI [toggle to install / uninstall the program]

Notes:

• make sure CTCM is installed properly by ensuring that "DEVICE= [Path]\CTCM.EXE"and "SET CTCM=[Path]" statements exist in the Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files respectively.
• make sure ICM is not installed
• CTCMAPI.EXE program does not work with the old DIAGNOSE program. Please download the latest DIAGNOSE program here.
