Using Modem Blaster 19.2 Voice With America Online Version 2.0

Modem Blaster 19.2 Voice will not connect to America Online. Unfortunately, the packaged America Online v2.0 does not support the Modem Blaster.

You should do the following:

Choose "Digicom Connection +14.4(v2.0)" from the list of available modems.
Select Edit Commands and change the modem's initialization string to the following:

AT &F %C0 \N1 &K0 &C1 &D2 &S0 S37=0 S9=2^M

AT: Typing AT informs the modem of the transmission speed, character format, and the parity used by the computer. If the user attempts to execute a command line without AT, he/she will receive an ERROR(or number 4) response.
&F: Loads factory default settings
%C0: Disables all data compression
\N1: Disables error checking(pass through mode)
&K0: Disables all flow control
&C1: Data carrier detection is on the presence of valid carrier signal
&D2: Enters command mode upon hanging up, sets DTR(Data Terminal Ready)off, and disables auto-answer
&S0: Data Set Ready is always on
S37=0: The modem connection rate automatically connects at the highest possible speed
S9=2: Sets carrier detect time to 0.2 second (which is how long the remote modem's carrier signal must be present for the Modem Blaster to recognize it)
